Why isn't my hero video autoplaying? ​

Video only plays in the Hero dynamic carousel section, and only when a slide actually has a video set. The plain Hero section has no video option.

Check the slide first:

  1. In the theme editor, open the Hero dynamic carousel and select the slide.
  2. Under Media, set Desktop video (hosted) with an uploaded .mp4, or Desktop video (YouTube or Vimeo) with a pasted URL. A slide with only an image shows the image.

If a video is set and still won't move, the device is blocking it, not the theme:

  • The visitor has reduced motion turned on in their operating system or browser. Wonpa never autoplays video for those visitors.
  • The phone is in a low-power or data-saving mode. Browsers block autoplay in those modes, and the theme can't override that.

Note: The section's Enable autoplay toggle advances the slides on a timer. It doesn't control whether a video inside a slide plays — the active slide's video plays on its own.
