A third-party app looks broken on my theme

Most apps add their content through app blocks, and where you place the block decides how it looks. An app dropped into the wrong spot, or one that hasn't been added at all, shows up empty or misaligned.

Two places in Wonpa accept app blocks, so start with the one that always works:

  1. In the theme editor, open the page where the app belongs and select Add section → Apps. Then use Add block inside that section and pick the app's block. This works on every page.
  2. On a product page only, the Product section also accepts app blocks directly, which is what you want for reviews, badges, or upsells that need to sit inline with the product details.
  3. For apps that output raw code snippets rather than a block, use a Custom Liquid section or block instead.

Note

Other sections don't accept app blocks, so if you don't see the app listed under Add block, you're in a section that can't host it. Add the Apps section and place the block there.

Test changes on a copy so a broken app never touches your live store:

  1. In Online Store → Themes, use Duplicate on Wonpa.
  2. Add and configure the app on the duplicate, then preview.

If the app still renders wrong after correct placement, the issue is usually in the app itself. Contact us with the app name and a screenshot and we'll help narrow it down.
