Why are my product images cropped or blurry?

Only product cards crop. Cutting every card photo to one uniform frame is what keeps a collection grid lined up. The product page gallery never crops, so if a photo looks cut off, you're looking at a card.

To change how much a card crops, open Theme settings → Product cards and set Image ratio. Square, Portrait, and Landscape each crop to a fixed shape. Cropping centers the image and never stretches it.

On the product page, Image ratio on the Product section works differently: it sets the shape of the image frame, and the photo is fitted whole inside that frame. Nothing is cut off. A photo whose proportions don't match the frame letterboxes instead, showing bands of the surface color to either side. If you see those bands, either match the ratio to how your photos are shot, or pad the images to a consistent shape before uploading. Zoom and the fullscreen view also show the full photo.

For blur, upload a larger file. Small source images stretched across a card or gallery look soft on high-resolution screens. Use photos at least 1200px on the long edge.
